Partnerships

A partnership between the Center for the Future of Arizona and ASU’s Public Service Academy, DemocraSeed mentors and trains students in city and tribal youth councils to utilize design thinking to develop innovative programs to increase civic engagement.

Through the year-long program, selected youth councils will work with ASU Mentor Advisers to learn how to utilize design-thinking and an entrepreneurial mindset to research/define a community-based issue, create a solution that fosters youth civic engagement, and pilot the solution. Near the end of the fiscal year, youth councils attend a Final Showcase event and present their projects to an esteemed judging panel. Youth Councils will be evaluated and presented with prize packages.
